Doug Doerrfeld began working as a carpenter nearly thirty years ago, working in several states including Kentucky. Approximately fifteen years ago, he began his second career – that of woodworking. Doug specializes in furniture building such as entertainment centers, bookcases, corner cabinets, china cabinets, desks, and tables. He also crafts items such as fireplace mantels, cutting boards and butcher blocks. Primarily handling commissioned work, Doug’s creations are often made from reclaimed barn wood that a customer desires to have fashioned into a family heirloom.
